Apple has just released their newest line of iPods right on time. Obviously, like every other blog out there I have to get my point of view across.

Firstly, there's the new iPod Nano which is actually nano this time around. Unfortunately they have replaced the click wheel with a multi-touch screen which can fit four icons on it. In my opinion it seems kind of gimmicky but I am sure Apple will prove me wrong with this being the next must have gift. The new Ipod Touch, as predicted will include all the new features of the iPhone 4 except for the phone, making it just an "i". As well this there is a new iPod shuffle which has the same button arrangement as the first gen shuffle but it is in the shape of a square. I guess they realised that a buttonless design was just plain stupid.

There is a new iTunes version out. It seems like iTunes 9 just came out yesterday but here is iTunes 10. They have released a ping feature which lets you "socialise" with your favourite artists. So another 90MB download awaits you when you finish reading this post.

On top of this, a new Apple TV is on its way which is actually tiny. It basically lets you rent HD movies (NOT buy). for a low price which is sure to inflate for international markets.

Whoops, almost forgot the iPod Classic, just like Apple did. There are NO improvements whatsoever.

Apple has unveiled its new iPod range. It includes an iPod nano with basically the same appearance as the previous generation but it has a video camera and the shell is made of polished aluminium making it nice and shiny. It also features a slightly larger screen (2.2") and built in FM radio with Live Pause, an inbuilt pedometer, inbuilt microphone for voice memos and the same Voice Over feature which says the name of the song you are listening to as the iPod shuffle.

Apple also has introduced new colours (including polished steel)  for its iPod Shuffle as well as lowering the price of its iPod touch to AU$268 and introducing a new 64Gb model for A$549 and featuring the same voice control system as the iPhone and including the Apple earphones with the remote and mic attached.

As well as this, the new version of iTunes was announced. It includes an iTunes store redesign and a new feature called iTunes LP which allows artists to include interactive features with albums such as lyrics, album info etc. here is a full list of all the new features:

The capacity of the iPod Classic has been upped to 160GB instead of the 120Gb.
